A message from the manager of Parking Services

On behalf of the dedicated and professional employees of Parking Services, thank you for visiting our web site. This site has been designed to provide you, our valued customer, with important information about our parking, alternative transportation, and service programs. We consider your feedback to be the most important information in our organization. Please use the feedback tab on this site and let us know what you think about our services, and programs. We have one of the most sophisticated e-mail systems in the nation, and we will respond to 100% of our customers who contact us.

Your feedback has helped us help you. We are honored to have won the 2008 Governor’s award (among 636 award submissions) as well as the 2008 Chancellor’s award. These awards bring us satisfaction, but not the higher kind of satisfaction we get from serving you, and making your experience at our University better for you. We are committed to continuous improvement, and will apply our best efforts to further exceed your expectations.

D. Walter, Department Head

Current Announcements

In light of the collapse of a portion of a parking deck in Atlanta on Monday, June 29, the University of Georgia will be thoroughly inspecting and assessing the structural integrity of all UGA parking decks. While none of the University's decks has shown any type of structural deficiency and there is no reason to believe that any issues may currently exist, the review is being conducted to affirm the safety of all who park and work in the facilities.

The University will hire two separate and independent structural engineering firms to conduct the analysis of the 10 decks in the system - eight existing and two under construction. The work should be completed by the time classes resume for the fall semester and will also result in a master plan for preventive maintenance of the decks in the future, an initiative that was already underway.

No decks will need to be closed for the inspections. However, if any patrons who park in the deck would prefer to park elsewhere until the studies are complete, those arrangements can be made by contacting Parking Services at (706) 542-7275.

Good news for Disabled customers! We have improved our registration processes. Disabled customers can now register for parking completely online by submitting their disability placard or license information via FAX, mail, or scanned image. Please follow the procedures under My Parking Account (Register for Parking) tab.
