How To Avoid Citations

Pay Citation  |  Appeal Citation |  Appeal Process |  How To Avoid Citations

When Parking On Campus

  • Carefully read the signage for the parking lot.
  • All spaces on campus require a permit.
  • All vehicles must display a valid permit for the lot parked in. Do not park in an area marked for another permit type.
  • Watch out for spaces marked State Vehicle, Handicap, Loading Zone, or Red or Yellow Zone.
  • Do not park in spaces designated for persons with disabilities unless you have the proper permit.
  • You will be issued a citation if the officer cannot see your permit. Instructions on how to display the permit are printed on the back.
  • Any registered permit holder, with approval from Parking Services, may park to load/unload for 30 minutes.
  • It is not difficult to avoid parking citations. Read and follow these simple rules; they will save you money!

If You Don't Have a Permit

  • Visitors may talk to one of the Monitors in the field or call Parking Services if they need help finding a place to park other than designated visitors parking areas.
  • The University has five parking decks that are open for public use on a paid basis. They are located all around campus and all have customer service attendants.
