To appeal your citation electronically, go to your Parking Account and click on the Appeal Citations link. The license tag on the citation must be registered to you to allow for an electronic appeal. Citations will not be available for appeal until the first business day after the citation was issued.

To file manually, print and complete the Citation Appeals Form. Submit the form via fax at 706-542-6301, in person, or mail to the following address:

Tips for Filing an Appeal

  1. All evidence available is used in the decision of the board. Please send or bring evidence to the Parking office within 48 hours of filing an appeal.
    • Evidence includes doctor's notes, receipts, photographs or anything else you feel may help your appeal.
    • Please include any extenuating or mitigating circumstances regarding your citation.
  2. Please be clear and relevant in explaining your situation - what may be obvious to you, may not be obvious to the board.
  3. Parking Services will gladly help you file an appeal and give you tips and pointers, should you wish to visit our office.
  4. Boards can see the entire violation history of the appellant. It helps to have a clean record.
  5. Our experience with appeal boards shows that the questions appeal judges ask when reviewing appeals are:
    1. Did a Violation occur?
    2. Was the violation avoidable?

Addressing these questions will give you a better chance of winning your appeal.
