Accommodating Construction Projects

  • The University of Georgia is a continually growing institution. Renovations on older buildings and new constructions are a familiar part of the landscape. Parking Services will work with contractors to make accessing work sites possible. Contact Parking Services to obtain a permit.

Construction Zone Parking

  • Representatives of companies involved in construction or similar renovation projects on campus may park in a designated job site without a permit. The limited space of campus makes it necessary to restrict marked construction vehicles to a staging area. This area should be defined in cooperation with the site manager, contractor, and Parking Services. The contractor will be assessed a permit fee for the designated space.

Contractor Permits

  • When parking outside of this designated zone a permit is required. Contractors must purchase all access permits to park on campus unless prior arrangements are made with the Parking Services manager.
  • Contractors may also make arrangements to park personal and company vehicles in remote lots and shuttle their employees to the job site.

Vendor Parking

  • Vendors are representatives of companies that maintain goods and services to fulfill contractual obligations. Vendors may purchase an all access permit with Parking Services management approval. The current cost is $720 for 12 months and is prorated throughout the year beginning August 1, 2008.

Intersession Parking

 

Intersession Services will be provided on Monday & Tuesday, November 23 & 24. Due to the University furlough, Parking Services will not operate on November 25 nor will service be provided over the Thanksgiving holiday, November 26-29. Regular service will resume Monday, November 30, 2009.

  • W06-Legion Pool area
  • S15-Carlton Street Deck
  • E05-East Village Deck

A valid UGA permit is required to utilize these lots; however, the permit can be for any other lot on the UGA Campus.

Parking maintains over 23,000 parking spaces and 8 parking decks on the University of Georgia campus to meet the needs of faculty, staff, students, and visitors.

  • Anyone operating a motor vehicle on University property must register the vehicle with Parking Services.
  • Most lots open after 5pm. Some lots require a permit up to 10:00pm. Please refer to the Enforcement Hours map for more details.
  • Visitor parking is available in the following locations: North Deck, South Deck, Carlton St. Deck Tate Center Deck, and East Deck. Payment methods include cash or checks.
  • If your vehicle becomes disabled on campus and you are unable to move it, contact Parking Services immediately.
  • Appeals: Student appeals are adjudicated by a board comprised of students. Faculty/Staff appeals are adjudicated by faculty/staff members. Appeals can be delayed depending on the class/work schedules of the student and faculty/staff board members.
