University of Georgia: Parking Services

Parking Services will work with departments with unique parking needs and whenever possible develop solutions to accommodate them. Any situations that require consultation with management should be done in advance to allow for communication, planning and agreement among all parties. Providing the necessary resources, including parking attendants, will ensure a smooth transition for your guest. Assist in setting up pre-event parking and provide directions to surrounding areas on campus.

When planning events, it is best to plan them for times when students will not be on campus, such as fall break, spring break, etc.

Call at least 2 weeks prior to your event; this allows time to secure the resources needed to have a successful event.

Departments should plan events away from peak hours. Attendees should be advised to park in the pay lots.
A department that wants to pay for their guests' parking in specific pay lots may give them a prepaid Validation Pass .
Daily Permits are an option in surface lots during times when it does not impede permit holders' use of the lot.
Larger events will require early consultation with Parking Services management for better accommodation.
Parking for athletic events and major events such as Commencement and Honors Day should be coordinated with Parking Services management.

**Parking Registration Is Open and awarded permits are available for purchase**

The Tate Deck is open and available for parking.

Loading and Unloading? Any valid UGA permit holder may call Parking Services at (706-542-PARK) for a 30 minute approval to load and unload large items that cannot be transported using campus transit.

Ramsey permits will be valid in the E04 deck for the upcoming year

We will be using new hand-free AVI Technology to automatically open entry gates in the North Deck, Carlton Deck and E01 lot.

Will Call for ALL student permits this year - Faculty/Staff permits will still be mailed.

Available Lots

Intersession Parking

Intersession Parking will be in effect during times of the year that bus service is reduced. The intersession lots are:

N02-Oconee Gravel lot
W06-Legion Pool area
S15-Carlton Street Deck
E04-East Deck

A valid UGA permit is required to utilize these lots; however, the permit can be for any other lot on the UGA Campus.

Next Intersession:
October 31, 2008

ATP passes are allowed to park in the intersession lots/decks without usage charge.

Football Announcements

Parking Services will be offering game day parking in the Carlton Street Deck for $20 per home game on a first come first serve basis. The following decks have been sold out for season long game day parking: South Campus Deck, North Campus Deck and the Hull Street Deck.
