Visitors

  • Visitors should park in one of the pay facilities located throughout campus during permit enforcement hours.
  • Visitors must display permits issued by authorized department personnel in those areas that allow such parking, to include Four Towers Visitor's Center, Psychology Clinic, Health Center, and Animal Health Research Center.
  • Departments may pay for guests’ parking using validation passes. See Departmental Parking.
  • Visitors will be responsible for any citation issued unless it is appealed and dismissed.
  • Only Parking Services may authorize a visitor to park in an area not designated for visitors.
Pay by the hour facilities are located in the North Deck, Tate Center Deck (opens August 2008), South Deck, Carlton Street Deck, Hull Street Deck, and E03 (Ramsey Center) for short term parking. Daily fees are $4 for the first hour and $1 for each additional hour not to exceed $10 per day beginning August 1, 2008.

Pay boxes are also located in the CCRC Lot (E15), River’s Crossing Lot (E13), Family Housing Lots (S18, S19, & S24). Legion Pool Lot (W06) is applicable only during pool operations.

Handicap Visitor Parking

  • During enforcement hours both a UGA permit and state issued handicap placard or license plate must be displayed to utilize handicap spaces. Visitors with handicap permits must use pay lots where there are handicap designated spaces.
  • After enforcement hours, handicap permits must be displayed to utilize disability parking.
  • Any visitor may use Campus Transit to travel to their destination. The routes are available on the Campus Transit website or by calling 706-369-6220.

**Parking Registration Is Open and awarded permits are available for purchase**
All summer permits will be issued over the counter in the Parking office
Loading and Unloading? Any valid UGA permit holder may call Parking Services at (706-542-PARK) for a 30 minute approval to load and unload large items that cannot be transported using campus transit.
Ramsey permits will be valid in the E04 deck for the upcoming year
We will be using new hand-free AVI Technology to automatically open entry gates in the North Deck, Carlton Deck and E01 lot.
Will Call for ALL student permits this year - Faculty/Staff permits will still be mailed.

Available Lots

 

 

Intersession Parking

 

Intersession Parking will be in effect during times of the year that bus service is reduced. The intersession lots are:

  • N02-Oconee Gravel lot
  • W06-Legion Pool area
  • S15-Carlton Street Deck
  • E04-East Deck

A valid UGA permit is required to utilize these lots; however, the permit can be for any other lot on the UGA Campus.

Next Intersession:
August 1 - August 13, 2008

ATP passes are allowed to park in the intersession lots/decks without usage charge.

 

Football Announcements

 

2008 Football Season Parking Permits are currently on sale and space is still available in the Carlton Street Deck and North Campus Parking Deck.
