Registration
Who must register?
Answer: It is highly recommended to register any vehicle
that you drive on campus, even if you don’t have a parking permit.
Do I need to register my car if I park on campus?
Answer: All vehicles parked on the property of the University
of Georgia must display a valid state license tag or visible vehicle identification
number (VIN). It is highly recommended to register any vehicle that you drive on
campus, even if you don’t have a parking permit.
What if I don’t want a permit, must I still register my vehicle?
Answer: You should still register your vehicle even
if you don’t want a permit, in case you ever do bring it on campus. It is
easier for Parking Services, if you registered your vehicle with us, to notify you
if your lights are left on or if any situation develops involving your vehicle.
How do I register for a parking permit?
Answer: Visit www.parking.uga.edu and select My Parking
Account to register online. Online registration is available for all University
of Georgia students, faculty, staff, and affiliates.
When should I register for a parking permit?
Answer: All students, faculty, staff, and affiliates
must register during the spring registration period between April and July (see
Parking home page for dates) to be considered for a permit valid the following fall
during the first round of assignments. Registration is ongoing once the first round
of assignments is made.
